Trump recommends activist Greta Thunberg to take an 'anger management class'

“She’s a strange person. She’s a young, angry person,” Trump responded. “She’s certainly different. I think she has to go to an anger management class. That’s my primary recommendation for her.”

President Donald Trump on Monday suggested that young Swedish activist Greta Thunberg take an "anger management class," after Israel intercepted a boat she was on that was bound for Gaza.

The boat, which departed June 1 from Catania, on the Italian island of Sicily, was allegedly intended to bring aid to the war-torn Palestinian territory. The boat transported Thunberg, who is known for being an environmental activist, and other activists.

Reporters asked the president at the White House whether he had a message for Thunberg, who is now in Israeli custody.

“She’s a strange person. She’s a young, angry person,” Trump responded. “She’s certainly different. I think she has to go to an anger management class. That’s my primary recommendation for her.”

The comment was not the first time that Trump has clashed with the 22-year-old activist. The pair also clashed in 2019, after she accused the president of "obviously" not listening to science when it comes to global warming, and giving him a "death stare."
