President Trump reportedly rejected an Israeli plan to kill Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to reports on Sunday citing sources.

"Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do we're not even talking about going after the political leadership," a senior U.S. administration official said in a Reuters report.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked to confirm if the reporting on the nixed plot is true.

"There's so many false reports about conversations that never happened and I'm not going to get into that," Netanyahu said on Fox News on Special Report with Bret Baier. "We'll do what we need to do and I think the United States knows what is good for the United States."
