Former Navy SEAL and current Arizona GOP Rep. Eli Crane blasted President Joe Biden for failing to respect the armed forces and Gold Star families.

"I remember sitting in a foreign affairs committee hearing and asking the some of the family members of some of the 13 Marines that were killed in the Afghanistan debacle if the President had reached out to them and they all shook their heads and said no," Crane said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "So it doesn't really seem like this president cares too much about our military."

His comments come in response to Biden's early departure from a Medal of Honor ceremony, which has drawn harsh criticism.  Crane said he "wasn't surprised" by Biden's actions.

The Biden administration has also received flak from critics regarding "wokeness" in the military, which has resulted in many veterans speaking out against it.

Crane criticized the "political experiment" that is occurring inside the U.S. military and called it disrespectful.

"The military is near and dear to me," he said. "But when I talk to young men and women now who ask me if they should join, I tell them to think long and hard about who they'll be serving for and who their leadership will be."

Crane said that there are great people in the military, it's just the current leadership that is the problem.

"It's not that we don't have great men and women in the military or that capability to continue to lead with our military might, but when we have leadership like this, you have to really take a hard look at whether you want your sons and daughters going into the service at this point in time," he said.
