Ahead of a likely House impeachment inquiry vote into President Joe Biden, the White House has geared up a team with two dozen lawyers, legislative aides and communications staffers to respond, according to a White House aide.
According to the source, President Biden's team has been putting together a strategy to push back on the impeachment inquiry vote and defend the president against allegations from the House GOP. NBC News refers to the effort as a "war room" that has been in the works for months.
“Comparing this to past impeachments isn’t apples to apples or even apples to oranges; it’s apples to elephants,” the White House aide said, according to NBC News. “Never in modern history has an impeachment been based on no evidence whatsoever.”
