One person dead after vehicle crashes and catches fire at athletic club in Oregon

One person was killed after a vehicle crashed and caught fire at a health club in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday.
Police said evidence of an explosive device was discovered inside the vehicle.
Details from the Portland Police Bureau were limited. The crash happened just before 3 a.m. at the Multnomah Athletic Club, which describes itself as the largest private athletic and social club in the United States, with more than 21,000 members since its founding in 1891.
Authorities said the victim was found inside the vehicle after firefighters extinguished the blaze.
In a statement, club spokesperson Adam Linnman said the crash occurred while the facility was closed and confirmed that no staff or members were injured. He added that officials are deferring further information to local and federal investigators.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said its agents were also responding to the scene.
