President Donald Trump announced Wednesday night that the United States and South Korea have agreed to launch $200 billion in new investments into America after he met with its leader last week in New York.

The president said South Korean President Lee Jae Myung agreed to the new investments in American energy and American power, $120 billion of which will go toward eight nuclear reactors that will be built in the U.S.

The investments are part of South Korea's agreement last year to invest $350 billion in the United States in exchange for lower tariffs.

"We are turning Korea’s Investment commitments into huge construction projects, and tens of thousands of American jobs," Trump said on Truth Social. "These are massive energy projects, adding power capacity in the United States. This is new construction, new manufacturing, and great jobs for American workers."

The president said another $50 billion will be spent on the Alaska LNG project, which will unlock "tremendous resources" in Alaska and create new American gas infrastructure.

"This project will deliver transformational change for the People of Alaska," Trump said.

The third project will send $22 billion to Texas to construct a 6.4-gigawatt natural gas power project.

"These projects will support the trillions of dollars of investment that have come into the United States under my Administration, including for Advanced Manufacturing, Semiconductors, and all the Great Industries of the Future," Trump said. "We are building that capacity here, in the United States of America, and the projects announced today will help power us for generations to come.

"These deals are driven by our trade deals," he continued. "REAL INVESTMENT, REAL PROJECTS, REAL CAPACITY, and REAL JOBS in America. AMERICA IS BUILDING AGAIN."
