NY Muslim convert accused of planning bombing with parts bought from Home Depot in ISIS plot
Law enforcement had been tracking her for five weeks prior to her arrest and believe she was "radicalized online."
A New York woman allegedly plotted to bomb the state Capitol in Albany, using materials she purchased at a Home Depot while wearing a burqa, the FBI said Thursday.
Jessica Bowie, 35, from Albany, allegedly planned to place the bomb in a DoorDash food delivery bag, and she had cased the Capitol building for weeks, taking photos from various vantage points, according to a criminal complaint.
"Blowing kafirs [non-Muslims] brains out is beautiful,” she told someone who turned out to be an FBI informant, the New York Post reported.
Bowie converted to Islam five years ago. Law enforcement had been tracking her for five weeks prior to her arrest and believe she was "radicalized online," First Assistant US Attorney John A. Sarcone III said at a press conference Thursday evening.
