President Donald Trump on Monday said that anyone who reports voter fraud in the upcoming or past elections will receive $1 million.

The money would be paid, Trump said in a post on Truth Social, "upon arrest and conviction" of those responsible for the fraud.

Trump didn't explain in the post how the rewards would be funded or the mechanism by which a tipster could apply for an award.

Trump told reporters shortly after posting the announcement that he was “going to be issuing a million-dollar bonus or reward or whatever you want to call it for anybody that reports voter fraud leading to the arrest and conviction of somebody. We give you, that person, a million dollars," the New York Post reported.
