Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., this week called Vice President JD Vance "delusional" over his comments asserting that the Department of Justice was investigating her for alleged immigration fraud.

Department of Homeland Security personnel raided her Washington, D.C., home this week as scrutiny over her immigration process and naturalization have mounted. Omar has long been the subject of theories alleging she committed immigration fraud, either by marrying a relative or falsifying her age. None have been proven. But Omar denied Vance's claims of an active investigation this week, despite the raid.

“That is not something that is happening,” she told reporters. “That man is delusional.”

Vance alluded to an ongoing investigation of Omar, saying the administration would allow the process to continue without their intervention. He further denied any advance notice of the raid.

"I do know that there are some serious allegations against Ilhan Omar. We're going to look into those. And again, if there's a real case there, we're going to follow the facts. If there's not a real case there, then we won't," he said.
