President Donald Trump on Wednesday excoriated Michigan's Wayne County, which included Detroit, as one of the most corrupt places for elections in the world.

His remarks come as the Democratic Senate primary has yet to conclude, due in part to the slow ballot tabulation in the area. 

"Wayne County (Detroit) in Michigan is one of the most corrupt voting areas in the United States, if not the World. It is strictly Third World!" he posted on Truth Social. "Miracles happen in Wayne County, including more votes being cast than there are voters, by a lot."

"Therefore, the Communist, who is not liked in Detroit, is potentially in 'Vote Counter' trouble," he added. "The Radical Left Socialist has a real shot, and don’t discount all of those fake mail-in ballots that will 'surprisingly' show up at the last moment. Get ready for another Rigged Election. In November we must VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS, and make Michigan TOO BIG TO RIG."

In the Senate primary, progressive Abdul El-Sayed currently leads Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., with some election monitors, but not the Associated Press, calling the race for him.

The 13th Congressional District House primary, meanwhile, is also too close to call. Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., is trailing progressive Donavan McKinney. The district includes much of Detroit and Wayne County.

The Wolverine State was one of several battlegrounds that Trump narrowly lost in 2020 and featured prominently in his claims that voter fraud affected the outcome.

Update: The Associated Press called the Senate and House races for El-Sayed and McKinney, respectively, shortly after publication.
