Six current and former D.C. Metropolitan Police Department employees are accused of fraudulently claiming overtime for hours not worked, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.

On Tuesday, a judge of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia signed arrest warrants for Peter Sheldon, Frantz Fulcher, Thomas Krmenec, Bernadette Richardson, Dorrie Smith Cleere, and Johnnie Dyer. Upon their arrests, they will be charged with first-degree fraud, first-degree theft, forgery, and uttering, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

The DOJ alleges that during the calendar year 2024, these employees manipulated official records, forged supervisory approvals, or claimed compensation while engaged in secondary employment. In total, $441,137.03 was paid in overtime for the false claims, according to the DOJ.

“Every day, we rely on law enforcement to uphold the public’s trust. These MPD members betrayed that trust by scheming to collect unearned, undeserved income, costing the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars,” Pirro said in a statement.
