War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Friday that the Army National Guard reached its fiscal year 2026 recruiting goal this week, marking the third year in a row that it's achieved such a feat.

"Proud to announce that the Army National Guard achieved its FY 2026 recruiting mission of 37,155 guardsmen yesterday," Hegseth posted on X. "This marks the third year in a row that the ARNG has hit this achievement and the FIRST time it has achieved this level of sustained recruiting success since FY 2013."

The Army reached its own recruiting goal for the current fiscal year in May, months before the Sept. 30 deadline. The Army said it enlisted 61,500 men and women four months before the deadline.
