President Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to Stephen Buyer, a former Indiana congressman who was convicted of insider trading after leaving public office.

Buyer, a Republican who represented Indiana in the House of Representatives, was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for using confidential information obtained through his work as a consultant and lobbyist to make profitable stock trades. Prosecutors said the scheme generated more than $350,000 in illicit gains.
