President Trump reportedly will again attend this year's anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks at the Pentagon. 

Trump also went to the Pentagon last year to mark the anniversary of the attacks in which terrorist-hijacked commercial jets crashed into the Defense Department headquarters, just a few miles from the White House, and the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan. In total, four hijacked planes, including one downed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killed nearly 3,000 people. 

The last time Trump attended memorial ceremonies at Ground Zero in New York was 2024. 

The White House told Just the News on Friday: "As a proud New Yorker, President Trump has spoken about his own experiences watching the horrific events of September 11, 2001. 

"On the 25th anniversary of this tragic day, the President will remember those who were killed at the hands of evil terrorists, honor their loved ones, and pay tribute to the brave first responders who put their lives on the line to rescue their fellow Americans."

Trump did not want to attend Ground Zero ceremonies for this year's 25th anniversary of the attacks, in part, because he wanted to deliver a speech, and the annual event has since 2012 barred remarks, four people with knowledge of the events told The New York Times.
