Vice President JD Vance will host a group of state attorneys general at the White House for a meeting related to his efforts to combat public fraud, Politico reported, citing "four people familiar with the planning."

President Donald Trump tapped Vance to serve as his "fraud czar" earlier this year. Since then, Vance has led a federal anti-fraud task force in efforts to crackdown on misuse of public funds, notably focusing on hospice fraud, Medicaid fraud, and other improper uses of taxpayer dollars.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday afternoon and feature as many as 15 Republican attorneys general. The scope of the meeting and its agenda remain unclear.

Vance's meeting follows him escalating the anti-fraud probe to address all 50 state Medicaid programs, threatening to withhold federal funding if they did not demonstrate an appropriate commitment to fighting fraud.
