President Donald Trump hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers at the White House on Thursday, marking their second visit in the past two years after the team won their second straight World Series last year.

The Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays last November in a stunning Game 7 match that stretched 11 innings. Catcher Will Smith smashed the game-winning solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to seal the 5-4 victory.

The visit comes after the Dodgers declined to visit the White House in April while playing a series against the Washington Nationals, citing scheduling conflicts. July's trip occurs on an off day between series in Philadelphia (July 20–22) and New York (July 24–26).

The president is expected to host the team in the Rose Garden at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, according to the White House schedule. The event can be streamed here.
