Voice actor Tom Kane, known for his work with Cartoon Network and his long-running roles in the Star Wars franchise, died Monday at the age of 64.

Kane representative Zach McGinnis told TMZ that he died from complications related to a 2020 stroke.

"Though his voice may now be silent, the characters, stories, and love he gave to the world will live on forever," McGinnis said. "But beyond the incredible career was an extraordinary man. Tom was a devoted husband and father who, alongside his wife, built a loving family of nine children — three biological and six welcomed through adoption and fostering."

Kane entered the Star Wars franchise through voice work in video games, beginning with 1998's Star Wars rebellion. He notably provided the voice of Yoda in Genndy Tartakovksy's animated "Star Wars: Clone Wars" series and later in the long-running "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." In that series, he also voiced the narrator.

He held several roles in iconic titles, such as "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic," "Star Wars: Republic Commando," "The Force Unleashed" series, The Old Republic MMORPG, and many other titles. Kane later provided additional voices in Episodes VII, VIII, and IX, as well as in "Solo," "Rogue One," and other titles, such as "Star Wars: Empire at War."

Outside of Star Wars, he provided the voice of Professor Utonium in the Power Puff Girls, Mr. Herriman in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and of Lord Monkey Fist in Kim Possible.
