WATCH: Anti-Trump ‘No Kings’ protests are taking place in cities around the country
More than 3,100 events have been planned across all 50 states, with organizers estimating that upwards of 9 million people could take part.
"No Kings" protests are taking place around the country in cities and towns, including Washington, D.C. and St. Paul on Saturday.
Organizers of Saturday’s rallies said Saturday the nationwide protests opposing President Donald Trump and his administration could rank among the largest demonstrations in U.S. history, with Minnesota emerging as the main event.
More than 3,100 events were planned across all 50 states, with organizers estimating that upwards of 9 million people could take part.
They have identified the rally at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul as the movement’s flagship event, citing the state’s prominence following a federal immigration crackdown that sparked widespread protests and included the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens by federal agents.
Bruce Springsteen is scheduled to perform at that rally.
