Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk responded to newly released audio that's raising questions about Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico's extended absence from the campaign trail.

"The Talarico campaign is hiding something big that voters ought to know about," Musk said.

Based on the audio, Talarico may have spent part of his recent absence from the campaign trail at an Ohio mental health facility.

The audio was released Sunday by independent journalists Nick Sortor and Rhein Amacher.
