Trump's envoy Jared Kushner Monday met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of an effort to revive a peace plan for Gaza that Israel has rejected.

Kushner held rare, direct talks with Hamas on Sunday in Egypt, and Hamas reaffirmed its agreement to demilitarize Gaza

The White House and Trump's Board of Peace are pressuring Hamas and Israel to proceed with this next step in the U.S. 20-point peace plan, which also requires Israel and Hamas to complete a complicated series of reciprocal and independently verified steps over approximately seven to eight months.

Kusher was expected to discuss with Netanyahu these other steps Israel must take to complete its part of the plan.
