Fourth suspect arrested in connection with deadly Sweet 16 birthday party shooting in Alabama
The suspect now in custody is 20-year-old Johnny Letron Brown of Tuskegee
Law enforcement officials on Thursday arrested a fourth suspect in connection to the deadly Sweet 16 shooting, which occurred in Dadeville, Alabama, that left four dead and 32 injured.
The suspect now in custody is 20-year-old Johnny Letron Brown, of Tuskegee, who has been charged with murder.
The other suspects in custody are 17-year-old Tyreese McCullough, 16-year-old Travis McCullough and 20-year-old Wilson LaMar Hill Jr.
Tallapoosa County District Attorney Mike Segrest said the two teenagers would be tried as adults. All four suspects in custody have been charged with four counts of reckless murder.
The shooting took place Saturday at a dance studio just off the town square.
Two of the deceased were high school seniors, including Philstavious Dowdell, who was the birthday girl's brother and died in his sister's arms. The other victims are Dadeville High senior Shaunkivia Nicole Smith, 17; Marsiah Emmanuel Collins, 19; and Corbin Dahmontrey Holston, 23.
