Delaware driver charged with DUI after hitting Biden's motorcade
Because the suspect was not considered a serious threat to Biden, local authorities are investigating the incident.
The man accused of hitting a vehicle guarding President Joe Biden's motorcade in Wilmington, Delaware, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and inattentive driving, according to law enforcement.
The Wilmington Police Department said Monday that local resident James Cooper, 46, was charged after a car hit an SUV that was blocking an intersection as the president left his campaign office on Sunday, according to NewsNation.
No injuries were reported after the crash, and because Cooper was not considered a serious threat to Biden, local authorities are investigating, according to a Delaware Fox News affiliate.
