Disgraced USA women's gymnastics doctor Nassar stabbed multiple times in federal prison: report

Disgraced gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was reportedly stabbed multiple times in federal prison in Florida, where he is serving his sentence for sexual assault and child pornography. 

Nassar is in stable condition Monday after he was stabbed during an altercation with another inmate on Sunday at the United States Penitentiary Coleman, people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. 

He was reportedly stabbed in the back and the chest.

The 59-year-old Nassar in 2017 was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison on charges of child pornography and tampering with evidence.

He also pleaded guilty in 2018 to 10 counts of sexual assault and was sentenced to serve the time in Michigan state prison. Nassar's state prison sentences are running consecutively with his federal sentence.
