Former NBA star Shawn Kemp was arrested in Washington state in connection with a drive-by shooting, according to law enforcement.
Kemp, a six-time NBA All-Star, was booked into the Pierce County jail on Wednesday afternoon, records show.
Police officers responded to reports of shots fired in a mall in the city of Tacoma, earlier that day, officials said.
A police report obtained by CBS News states officers located the suspect who had fired off the shots on Tacoma Mall property and detained him without incident and that a firearm was recovered from the scene. The intended victim or victims reportedly fled the scene.
No injuries were reported.
