Paul Pelosi pleads guilty to DUI-related charge
He will be on probation for three years
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul Pelosi, pleaded guilty Tuesday in a California court to driving while intoxicated and causing injury.
He pleaded not guilty earlier this month to DUI-related counts after he was charged in June in connection with the accident the previous month in Napa Valley.
Pelosi's plea agreement includes a five-day jail term.
Judge Joseph Solga said the 82-year-old Pelosi already has credit for four of the days, according to Fox News. The final day will be covered by an 8-hour work program.
Pelosi will also have three years of probation and will attend a three-month drunk driving program, make restitution payments and have an ignition interlock device for a year.
A second, related charge in the accident was dismissed.
