Police on Wednesday announced an arrest in the brutal 2022 slaying of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan, claiming that the suspected gunman "did not act alone" in allegedly carrying out the murder.

Bridegan was killed in February of last year in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, shortly after dropping his twin son and daughter off with his ex-wife, Shanna Fernandez. Bridegan's daughter Bexley was in the car at the time of the murder.

Almost exactly a year later, Florida police on Wednesday announced the arrest of Henry Tenon, a Florida man who was already facing gun charges in that state; Tenon is a convicted felon with a history of repeated traffic violations and other crimes.

Multiple media outlets, meanwhile, also reported that Tenon was renting a home from Shanna Fernandez's second husband, Mario.

Florida State's Attorney Melissa Nelson indicated at a press conference on Wednesday that Tenon had accomplices in the killing.

"We know Henry Tenon did not act alone," she said.
