Police chief pledges to 'investigate absolutely every single thing' amid Maine shooting manhunt
McGee said even though his agency has less than 20 officers, they will "investigate absolutely every single thing."
Law enforcement will investigate every possible lead to hunt the person of interest behind the mass shootings in Maine, Lisbon Police Chief Ryan McGee said Thursday.
"I don't care how small it is," McGee told reporters. Lisbon, which has a population of less than 10,000 people, is a 15-minute drive away from Lewiston, where shootings took place Wednesday, resulting in at least 16 casualties.
A vehicle connected to Robert Card, 40, the person of interest in the mass shootings, was discovered in Lisbon on Wednesday, according to CNN.
McGee said even though his agency has less than 20 officers, they will "investigate absolutely every single thing."
His agency has received calls for numerous things ranging from open doors to unconfirmed reports of additional gunshots being heard. One person even called to report people screaming, but that turned out to be goats, McGee said.
"Please reach out if you see something suspicious, if something isn't right," he pledged.
Residents in the area are advised to remain indoors.
