Police respond to 'active shooter situation' in Pittsburgh
During the incident, authorities began evacuating the area and encouraged people to report their location.
Pittsburgh police on Wednesday responded to a shooting incident that reportedly saw "hundreds of rounds" discharged in the Garfield neighborhood.
The exchange reportedly developed out of a police attempt to serve an eviction notice. Authorities have not confirmed the number or dead or wounded, if any, Fox News reported. A trooper on the scene told the outlet that the home's resident had begun shooting down police drones.
During the incident, authorities began evacuating the area and encouraged people to report their location and await the arrival of aid to relocate them to safety.
The most recent update from Pittsburgh Public Safety as of press time, stated that the City of Pittsburgh Police "still has control of the active shooting scene."
