Several shot randomly at Michigan splash pad, suspect contained, police say
Police were searching for the gunman.
Several people, including an 8-year-old child, were wounded Saturday when a gunman randomly opened fire at a splash pad in Rochester Hills, Mich., police said.
Rochester Hills police said as many ans 10 adults and children were injured, and the gunman was contained in a home.
Victims were being treated at four different hospitals in the Detroit suburbs.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said the suspect exited a vehicle, started shooting, and then left the scene. He called it a "random act."
