St. Louis high school gunman had 600 rounds of ammo, police say
Authorities say the suspect did not have any criminal history.
The suspect who killed a teenage girl and a teacher at a St. Louis high school was armed with what police said Tuesday was an AR-15-style rifle and what seemed to be more than 600 rounds of ammunition.
Orlando Harris, 19, was killed by police in an exchange of gunfire after he allegedly opened fire Monday at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School, killing physical education teacher Jean Kuczka, 61, and tenth grade student Alexandria Bell.
Police said Harris, who graduated from the school last year, left a note in his car stating that he does not have any friends, family or a social life and is an "isolated loner," local outlet KMOV reported. "This was the perfect storm for a mass shooting," Harris allegedly wrote.
Authorities say Harris did not have any criminal history.
The FBI is investigating the incident and agents reportedly surrounded a home in south St. Louis for several hours today in connection to the shooter.
