Stabbing attack in Australia leaves 6 dead and 8 injured

Six people were killed Saturday in a stabbing spree in Sydney, Australia, at a shopping center.
Five women and one man were killed and the suspect was fatally shot by police, according to CBS News.
The suspect was 40 years old and stabbed people with a knife at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction. Eight people were injured, including a baby.
"We are confident that there is no ongoing risk, and we are dealing with one person who is now deceased," New South Wales Police Commissioner Karen Webb said during a briefing.
She also said it wasn't a terrorist incident. Police are still trying to determine the motive of the man.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to treat those who were injured.
Webb said the officer who shot the suspect showed "enormous courage and bravery."
The officer who took down the suspect was NSW Police Inspector Amy Scott.
She was recognized for her courage and her actions, according to The Daily Mail.
