Suspect shot and killed after driving his truck into a mall in Killeen, Texas, leaving 5 injured

There were at least five people injured when a man drove his pickup truck through the window of a J.C. Penney store in a mall in Killeen, Texas, Saturday night. The suspect, who had attracted the attention of the police when spotted driving erratically, was fatally shot by law enforcement.
But by that time he had driven “several hundred yards” through the entrance of the store in his effort to outrun the police, “actively running over people,” according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Bryan Washko at a press conference on Saturday evening. He said those injured ranged in age from 6 to 75, according to Fox News.
When police first spotted the car and tried to pull it over, the driver pulled off the highway, drove to the parking lot and then right through the doors of the J.C. Penney.
Killeen is located about 70 miles north of Austin.
