Three killed in shooting in Washington state, police search for gunman
The suspect is described as "armed and dangerous," and an image of him has been released.
Police are searching for a gunman after he entered a convenience store Tuesday and fatally shot three people, then went across the street to another convenience store to apparently steal a car, police said.
"It appears to be a random situation, said Matthew Murray, chief of the city of Yakima police department. "There was no apparent conflict between the parties. The male just walked in and started shooting."
The suspect is described as "armed and dangerous," and an image of him has been released.
After the shooting at the Circle K convenience store in at about 3:30 a.m. in Yakima, in central Washington, the suspect went to the ampm convenience store, where he allegedly shot into a vehicle. The driver moved to the passenger seat and the suspect "stole his car," Murray said.
The driver's identity is unclear at this time.
