Authorities charge the two juveniles in custody in connection with Kansas City parade shooting
The charges are gun-related and for allegedly resisting arrest
Authorities said Friday they have officially filed charges against the two juveniles being held in connection with a shooting death during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl celebration parade earlier this week.
Missouri's Jackson County Family Court said the juveniles are being detained on "gun-related and resisting arrest charges” and that additional charges are expected as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department continues, according to the Associated Press.
Twenty-two other people were injured or wounded in the shooting, which police say started as a "dispute between several people."
Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said that "at least half" the victims were younger than 18, according to local media.
Police originally detained three people, then determined one was not involved and released the person.
