Actor Kevin Sorbo slams 'woke' movie remakes: 'Come up with your own ideas'
Sorbo said that he is now in the business of directing movies that Hollywood and Disney don't do anymore.
Actor and producer Kevin Sorbo slammed upcoming "woke" Hollywood reboots, saying that Hollywood needs to come up with original ideas.
"Leave those movies alone," Sorbo said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Come up with your own ideas. I mean, be creative. That's the idea of it."
According to reports, Hollywood is planning on doing remakes of the movies "The Wizard of Oz" and "It's a Wonderful Life."
They are expected to be directed by creator Kenya Barris.
Sorbo said that he is now in the business of directing movies that Hollywood and Disney don't do anymore.
"We're doing movies that have hope and love and faith and freedom and laughter, things that Hollywood used to do," he said. "Everything we put on now is just, the woke thing is certainly there. There's hate, anger, violence and over-sexualization. I mean, people get to the point where enough is enough."
He added that there are 80 million homes in the U.S. that want content that isn't woke and teaches good morals.
