Actor Vincent Pastore from The Sopranos dies at the age of 80

Actor Vincent Pastore from the acclaimed mob drama The Sopranos, has died at the age of 80.

His longtime manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed the death, saying Pastore died at his home in the Bronx. The exact date of his passing was not immediately clear.

Attermann paid tribute to the veteran actor, reflecting on a professional relationship that spanned more than three decades.

“I had the privilege of representing Vinny for more than 30 years, long before ‘The Sopranos’ made him a household name,” Attermann said in a statement to media outlets. “To the world, he will always be remembered as the unforgettable ‘Big Pussy,’ but to those of us who knew him, he was so much more.”

Pastore became a fan favorite through his portrayal of Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s groundbreaking crime series The Sopranos, which premiered in 1999 and helped redefine television drama.
