Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy pledges 'to help Rumble be the top player' after partnership announced
Within days of the announcement, Barstool garnered more than 9,000 followers on Rumble, and Rumble's stock increased more than 60%.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy says he is going to boost Rumble to become a "top player" after the sports outlet entered a partnership with the video platform.
"I'm excited about Rumble's commitment to sports and broadening audiences," Portnoy said Monday in an announcement about the partnership. "With the power of Barstool Sports, we are going to help Rumble be the top player in the video, cloud, and livestreaming space."
While Barstool Sports still streams videos to its more than 1.7 million subscribers on YouTube, the outlet is also posting all of its shows to Rumble, including its most popular series such as "One Bite Pizza Reviews," "Barstool Gambling," and "Jerry After Dark."
"The partnership with Barstool Sports is a major step in pursuit of our mission to continue building a portfolio of widely popular sports and entertainment content," Rumble Chairman and CEO Chris Pavlovski said. "Rumble is quickly emerging as a leading platform for the under-30 demographic, and we're excited for Barstool Sports to be a significant part of our rapid growth."

Additionally, Rumble stock increased more than 60% since the announcement, per Google Finance.
