Professional tennis player Carlos Alcaraz defeated world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the US Open final on Sunday evening to capture his second US Open championship in New York.

The 21-year-old from Spain won a commanding 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory.

The win denied Sinner, last year’s champion, a chance to defend his win and further cemented Alcaraz as the future of men’s tennis.

With this win, Alcaraz has added a fourth Grand Slam trophy to his collection.
