Founding member of band 'The Dixie Chicks' killed in car crash

Laura Lynch, a founding member of the band "The Dixie Chicks" was killed in a car accident in Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed Lynch's death on Saturday, according to TMZ.
A cousin of Lynch told the outlet that Lynch died on Friday outside of El Paso. She died instantly after another car crashed into her vehicle, attempting to overtake on a highway, according to The New York Post.
Lynch co-founded "The Dixie Chicks," now known as "The Chicks," in 1990, along with Robin Lynn Macy, Martie Erwin and Emily Erwin.
She recorded three albums with the band before parting ways in 1993.
Natalie Maines replaced her in 1995.
She is survived by her daughter Asia.
