McCartney is ranked 165th on the newspaper’s list of the U.K.’s 350 richest individuals.
Beatles bass guitar player, singer and songwriter Paul McCartney is the first British musician to attain billionaire status, according to reports.
The annual Sunday Times Rich List reported earlier this week that McCartney's wealth had increased by 50 million pounds last year, due in part to his having been on tour, according to The Hill.
McCartney is ranked 165th on the newspaper’s list of the U.K.’s 350 richest individuals.
The Beatles released their final "new" song, "Now and Then," last year with the use of artificial intelligence and old archived recordings.
This was the last "new" Beatles song released as part of a set of unreleased John Lennon demos that his former bandmates used to construct the songs "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" in the 1990s.
Other figures on the list included "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling and musician Elton John.
