Sean 'Diddy' Combs apologizes after video shows him beating ex-girlfriend
"I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I am disgusted now," Diddy also said in the Instagram video.
Sean "Diddy" Combs on Sunday issued an apology after a video surfaced showing him brutally beating Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, in 2016.
"It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that," Diddy said in an apology video on Instagram. "I was f***ed up. I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video."
The apology comes after CNN published a video Friday showing Diddy running out of a hotel room wearing a towel and assaulting Ventura as she stood at the elevator and tried to leave the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in March 2016.
"I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I am disgusted now," Diddy also said in the Instagram video.
Diddy said that he started therapy and rehab after the incident.
He had previously denied her allegations of the assault, even while the two had settled a federal lawsuit based on the allegations in November, according to CNN.
