The University of Connecticut Huskies won the NCAA college basketball championship on Monday, defeating the Purdue University Boilermakers 75 to 60.
The win marked a back-to-back triumph after the Huskies last year defeated San Diego State 76-59.
Both teams were No. 1 seeds at the start of the tournament. The Huskies reached the championship after defeating No. 4 seed Alabama while the Boilermakers did so after beating the No. 11 seed NC State.
