Annual inflation rate reaches 2.6% in October, up 0.2% from previous month, feds
The increase was in line with Wall Street expectations
The Consumer Price Index – the country's rate for inflation – increased 0.2% in October, compared to the previous month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
The slight increase was the same as in each of the previous three months. Compared to the same time last year, the price of goods indexed by the bureau increased 2.6%.
The increase was in line with Wall Street expectations, according to CNBC.
