Dow enters bear market after dropping 1,400 points

The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Wednesday plummeted more than 1,400 points, entering a bear market as fears over coronavirus persist.

The stock index has been on a roller coaster ride so far this week.

The Dow on Tuesday gained over 1,100 points, after losing over 2,000 points on Monday, the largest point drop ever for the index.

President Trump is slated to deliver an address tonight about the coronavirus health scare, which was classified as a pandemic today by the World Health Organization.
