Vice President Kamala Harris has proposed offering forgivable loans to black entrepreneurs as she struggles to hold on to support among black men in the lead up to the election.

The plan would see her offer up to 1 million loans of up to $20,000 through government partnerships with private lenders, CNBC reported.

“This agenda is a further realization of Vice President Harris’ Opportunity Economy,” campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond said. "An economy where people don’t just get by, but get ahead. Where Black men are equipped with the tools to thrive: to buy a home, provide for our families, start a business and build wealth.”

The campaign also unveiled plans to help black men gain ground in the legalized marijuana trade, among other initiatives in her "Opportunity Agenda."
