Inflation rate held steady in December at 2.7% compared to same time last year
The Federal Reserves targeted inflation is 2% annually.
The country's Consumer Price Index rose at an annual rate of 2.7% in December, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced Tuesday.
The number, the final one of 2025, was in line with economists' forecasts, according to CBS News. It was also unchanged from November's 2.7% annual pace.
The Federal Reserves targeted inflation is 2% annually.
