Flooding slams Las Vegas, damaging casinos and washing out roads
Severe downpours dumped inches of rain on resort city.
Las Vegas overnight into Friday was hit by major flooding, with the desert city seeing washed-out roads, flooded parking garages and soaked casinos after a heavy downpour.
Photos and videos on social media showed multiple points of the city with significant water flows, including roads, parking garages and gambling halls.
Earlier on Thursday weather officials had warned of a major storm moving through the area, one that subsequently dumped a huge portion of water on the city in a short amount of time.
The flooding there comes at the same time as catastrophic flooding has slammed the eastern portion of the state of Kentucky, with multiple deaths being reported amid a state of emergency there.
