House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan says he is dedicated to finding a legislative solution to keep the government from colluding with Big Tech to censor Americans.

"When governments are involved in pressuring and working with the private sector to keep information from the American people, we believe that's a direct attack on the First Amendment," Jordan said on Tuesday's edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "This is something we will definitely look into in the Judiciary Committee."

Big Tech platforms such as Twitter have been exposed recently for colluding with government agencies such as the FBI to censor information and monitor "misinformation."

In a series of tranches of internal Twitter documents titled "The Twitter Files," Twitter CEO Elon Musk has released information through independent journalists regarding the types of collusion that went on between Big Tech and the government.

According to Rep. Jim Jordan, the Judiciary Committee does plan to investigate the collusion that occurred.

"I think we will have hearings on that issue. I anticipate multiple hearings," the Ohio GOP congressman said. "Each batch of those Twitter files I think there's a hearing there on what took place, and how government was pressuring the private sector, working with the private sector to limit the information of the American people."

Chairman Jordan noted that Americans' First Amendment rights were violated and the institutions involved in that need to be held accountable.
