Jurors in Florida shooter's trial allowed into Stoneman Douglas school 4 years after it was sealed
Notes describe haunting scene of massacre frozen in time.
Members of the jury in the trial of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter were this week allowed back into the sealed building where the massacre took place four years ago.
The jurors were attending the walkthrough during the sentencing phase of the trial. Accused gunman Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty to the charges against him in October of last year.
CNN reported on Friday that several reporters were allowed to walk through the building after the jurors were finished, with many of the journalists taking notes while doing so.
"On the far wall away from the door is a table with a large pool of blood. This is where Carmen Schentrup died from a bullet wound to the head," one note reads.
"There is a large bloodstain on the floor and on the wall. A black rubber shoe, possibly, a Croc, lay on the floor there," another note states.
Cruz is facing the death penalty as part of the sentencing phase of the trial.
