VP JD Vance to visit Fort Campbell before Thanksgiving

Vance, 41, and his family will visit the fort's 30,000 active duty military on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Vice President J.D. Vance will visit Fort Campbell in Kentucky ahead of Thanksgiving to celebrate with Army service members.

Vance, 41, and his family will visit the fort's 30,000 active duty military on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee near Nashville on Wednesday afternoon.

Fort Campbell is home to the 101st Airborne Division, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, 5th Special Forces Group, and other Army units.

In addition to his family, the vice president will be joined by Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll and his family.

Vance and his group will join servicemembers for a Thanksgiving meal at a Warrior Restaurant on post. After, Vance will speak to servicemembers.

President Donald Trump is expected to spend the holiday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
